Ian's Task Chapter 4

Elizabeth meets Ian (chapter 5)

The stranger that stood before me holding out a hand as he came closer.

"your not?" I said.

" no" he said dropping his umbrella. Reveling dyed red hair and black eyebrows. His face was expressionless but inviting. Not at all scary like Jonathan.

"what's your name?" he said. Should I trust this stranger enough to tell him my name?

"Elizabeth" I said. The name Jonathan use to call me before he change.

"Elizabeth" he repeats. " don't you want to go home?"

" I have no home" I said looking down. He doesn't say another word, putting his umbrella up and he walks from the alley I had been hiding in for almost an hour. Hoping that Jonathan wouldn't beat me for running away.

The only person that spoke to me kindly in almost a year and I scared him away.

"wait" I said. "my name's Elizabeth" I look down at me too embraced from deceiving him before " I was wondering if you could help me."

"Elizabeth" he repeats. For a moment he is silent before turning around and walking toward me his grey trench futtering in the brief wind. When he is inches away from me only now I notice how tall he is and very handsome as well. He looks only a few years older than I but he releases a maturity about him that makes him seem much older.

Slowly he reaches for my cheek lightly stroking it. I flinch in pain. I forgot just and hour ago I was stuck there.

"What happened to you face?" He said. "some one hit you"

"n-no" I look away but he pulls me back.

" where is he?" he says. How did he know he was a man?

"actually I fell" I say looking away again.

"No, you didn't" he said. He face still expressionless. " you  need a place to stay?"

Handsome or not his people skills where terrible. The way he spoke to me was very demanding. But it was nice of him to offer me a place to stay.

"yes please" I said not forgetting my manners.

He holds the umbrella up before walking out of the dry alleyway.

"Aren't you coming?" he said looking over his shoulder.

I have to run a little to catch up to his pace.
